Spotify Premium, Stop the world

We have a number of pre-releases today for premium subscribers.


The Irish band, The Blizzards, have been touring heavily since their second album, Domino Effect was released last year. Today we have an exclusive Live Spotify Session, recorded just for us at a special studio gig in London. Spotify Premium users in the UK can listen to the session as a teaser for their forthcoming album.


In Sweden and Norway premium users can listen to the new album from R&B artist Maxwell. The much anticipated album, BLACKsummers’night, is his first studio release since 2001 and now available on Spotify.


For premium users in Spain we have the latest album from the Grammy winning singer Bebe. Her new release, Y., is out at the end of the month but premium subscriber can hear it on Spotify first.

Spotify Premium Sweden – In My Heart


The American DJ and singer-songwriter Moby has had some huge hits in his career. Later this month he’s releasing his latest album, Wait For Me, starting today Spotify Premium subscribers in Sweden can listen to it before everyone else.

Moby has also put together a number of really cool videos for the new tracks which can be found on his official website, check out the video for Shot In The Back Of The Head directed by David Lynch.

Spotify Premium UK – Goes to eleven


The boys are Back from the Dead. 25 years after David, Nigel and Derek first hit the stage they are back with a brand new album. To celebrate their return we have a pair of tickets to see Spinal Tap live at Wembley Arena on June 30th for one lucky Spotify Premium subscriber.

Spotify Premium UK – Everything Is New

jack-penate.pngThe indie sensation, Jack Peñate, has been hard at work after his debut album, Matinée, stormed the charts in 2007. His brand new release, Everything Is New, is out on June 22nd but starting today Spotify Premium subscribers in the UK can listen to it in its entirety.

Spotify Premium UK – Manic Street Preachers remixes


Manic Street Preachers released Journal For Plague Lovers earlier this year to critical acclaim. They’ve been quoted on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show as saying that no singles will be released for the album. However, they are releasing a number of remixes which are available to Spotify Premium users in the UK starting today.

Journal For Plague Lovers Remixes E.P. features remixes by artists such as British Sea Power and Adem. So move a little Faster and sign up for premium today to check out these great remixes.

Spotify Premium – Crazy Summer

Today we have a couple of great pre-release singles from Jenny Wilson for Spotify Premium users in the UK, Sweden, Finland and Norway.


Jenny Wilson’s latest album, Hardships!, was praised in the press when released earlier this year. Her new single, Anchor Made Of Gold/The Warning Shot, includes the album version of the song, a remix by First Floor Power-member Sara Wilson and a couple of bonus tracks.


Also available is Like A Fading Rainbow, which includes two remixes by Van Rivers (who has remixed for Fever Ray and Lykke Li, among others).

Spotify Premium – There’s No Other Way


The members of Blur have spent the last few years focusing on solo projects. But now the whole band is getting back together for some live shows and they’re releasing a new compilation of their career highlights. Midlife: A Beginner’s Guide to Blur is out June 15th but Spotify Premium subscribers can listen to the full album starting today, now’s the perfect time for all the Girls & Boys out there to upgrade.

Spotify Premium – Queen + Paul Rodgers ‘Live in Ukraine’

Last fall, Queen + Paul Rodgers, took the stage in front of 350,000 people for a historic concert. The venue on offer was Ukraine’s massive Freedom Square – a place so big that during World War II it was used to land planes.

Over 10 million people watched, Live In Ukraine, on TV and the entire event was recorded for release on June 15th. Starting today, all Spotify Premium subscribers can pre-listen to the entire album two weeks before it’s release.
