Shining a literal spotlight on some of the top singer-songwriters of the moment, Spotify is honored to reveal Shawn Mendes, multi-Platinum and chart-topping singer-songwriter, Halsey and producer Greg Kurstin, genre crossing, Grammy-nominated breakout hip hop artist and songwriter, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Despacito co-writer, Erika Ender, as performers at the upcoming Secret Genius Awards. Alternative hip-hop artist, Lizzo will bring her infectious energy and self-love anthems to the stage as the evening’s host.

Taking place at L.A.’s Vibiana Cathedral, Spotify’s Secret Genius Awards are designed to celebrate the people within the songwriting and producing community that contribute to the creative work behind some of the most streamed songs on Spotify.

A self-taught musician, Shawn Mendes has become a global sensation with 2 #1 albums, known for his smash hits such as Treat You Better, Mercy, and There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back. Alt-pop songstress and social advocate Halsey burst onto the scene with album “Badlands” and has since broken myriad records as well as garnered over 2 billion streams worldwide.” Having recently released his EP Seven Days and set to embark on a world tour, enigmatic crooner PARTYNEXTDOOR has also racked up writing credits on some of this year’s biggest hits such as DJ Khaled’s Wild Thoughts, featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller. Additionally, prolific pop songwriter/producer and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and producer Mike Posner, EDM juggernaut Steve Aoki, super producers Quincy Jones, the mastermind behind some of Michael Jackson’s biggest albums and BabyFace, the Grammy Award-winning co-founder of LaFace Records, lauded “Godfather” of Chicago hip hop and Executive Vice President of Capitol Music Group, No I.D., Australian singer-songwriter, Troye Sivan, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Kelis, songwriter and producer known for his extensive work with platinum selling artists such as Usher, Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige, B.Cox, and Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer for the likes of Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, Julio Reyes Copello, will all take the stage that evening as esteemed presenters.
Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Frank Ocean, who began his career as a ghostwriter before stepping into the spotlight, will present prolific producer Rick Rubin with the Legendary Genius Award, as previously announced.
