Last December, Spotify headed to Miami Beach to join in on the Art Basel festivities. Among the incredible talent and unique experiences, we presented a showcase to explore the intersection of two art forms coming together under one roof: Music Loves Art.
Over the course of four nights at Miami’s new hotspot, Ricochet Lounge, the events offered a special line-up for art and music lovers alike. Our friends at VICE captured all the action in an exclusive series titled VICE Meets Spotify: Music Loves Art.
Pairing the music and art, the series offered a behind-the-scenes look at the sizzling performances and intimate interviews, including the likes of Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings alongside notable visual artist Mickalene Thomas.
Check out the fourth and final episode where we connect with performance artist Kalup Linzy and legendary band TV on the Radio. In this, they discuss the importance of performance in both music and art and the way they incorporate it into their craft.
