Music catalogue updated with 41,631 tracks

We had a music update last night that I wanted to let you know about. We added 3,375 albums and singles to the catalogue, in total 41,631 new tracks are now available.

A few highlights include:

Have a look at the Google doc for the full listing of all the releases. As with every update not all albums listed may be available in your country and some tracks previously available may no longer be playable due to regional restrictions.

Let us know what gems you find in this update.

  1. Hello!! First of all I would like to thank you people doing what are u doing!! You’re the best, even on android!! I love Spotify, and I have a question, I’m form Spain (Forza Ibrahimovic!!) and I would like to know why mika’s album is gonna a release later on spotify, I’ve got a premium account and I thought I could listen it on 22nd September…Thank you!!

  2. Glad to see some Lifter Puller back. Any chance of putting their final album back up, it was the only place I could hear it.

  3. Why don’t you “grey out” tracks that are unplayable? I can still find music, but i can’t play the tracks… that is kind of bad…

  4. keep the good work up, i saw the monsters of folk on itunes, and i search on sotify and found it, thats a interesting album,

  5. blaren: Preferences -> Hide unplayable tracks 😀
IIRC it is enabled by default.

  6. When will be available Maxïmo Park “A certain trigger” album?? It is amazing!

Thanks for keeping up the good work!

  7. I hate reading the new updates, building up my expectations and then finding out that that particular update is not available in my country (in this case the Madonna album).
Do you think you could make this type of posts a bit longer and include which countries are the ones getting the update?

  8. Why don’t I find Winnerbäck’s new album when searching for Winnerbäck? I have to search for the album title to find it…

  9. What’s a boy got to do to get this music in the UK? I wanted the new “Dizzee Rascal” album and the new “The Cab” EP from this update – both listed on your Google doc but neither are available when I search 😥

    Am I missing something?

  10. I notice the album “Introducing… Hello Saferide” by Hello Saferide is mentioned in the release document. However, this album was available even before this release and now seems to be represented twice in the artist’s Spotify catalog (with a slightly different spelling of one song). Should this be reported as a bug?

  11. @johannes_jj: There are many albums coming to Spotify via IODA that overlap existing albums. However, some of those may be new in certain regions. I don’t think it’s a bug and I don’t know how it can be solved. 😉

  12. Jean-Louis Murat : Le Cours Ordinaire Des Choses

  13. It would be so nice if you could get The Siberian Chipmunks Sing The Charts Vol. 1 and Vol. 2

Also some more world folk music would be very nice 🙂

  14. Ty for an awsome program!, But please.. update your Metal Vocabulary and new albums released thx
