Spotify music catalogue updated with 2,295 new tracks

Hopefully everyone had a great weekend, the weather was amazing here and by the looks of a lot of the people in the office they took full advantage of the sun. And while the nice weather has carried over into the work week we have managed to add 414 albums and singles today, in total 2,295 new tracks are now available.

There are a number of new releases to highlight in this update:

For a full listing of today’s additions please have a look at the Google Doc. As with every update not all albums listed may be available in your country and some tracks previously available may no longer be playable due to regional restrictions.

  1. good lord, so much great new stuff! and, i’m digging your new formatting, andres. 🙂

  2. @danielraffel – Thank you for the suggestion. It does make my life a little easier and looks better, good call. 🙂

  3. Nice to see the record labels being their usual idiotic selves once again!!!
“The Knife -Silent Shout” not for you in Sweden, no you can’t have!!!

  4. damn, the Patrick Wolf album is not available in France. The Daniel Merriweather and the Manson last albums are still not available yet.
Any idea when we could listen to these in Spotify ?

  5. @squarepush – yes it is available : check this link spotify:album:0m4UE6dxvhzxzdGt1Q28NT

  6. Dave Matthews Band, one of the most-missed entries in Spotify’s catalogue, finally here! Totally sweet. Is there any hope for the rest of their discography (or perhaps that they are separated from that country Dave Matthews)?

  7. The bulk of the comments after every update are people complaining that tracks or albums in the google doc are not available where they live.

Are Spotify passing on to the record labels these comments and the enormous amount of anger and irritation from your customers created by their stupid decision to implement regional restrictions on the internet (which is inherently global)?

The record labels don’t appear to be listening at all to their customers. Don’t they understand that industries that don’t listen to their customers eventually go out of business (just look at GM and the whole of the car industry)?

  8. @sickofmotion : thanks a different link than the one in the post but this one is available here. Thank you once again.

  9. Will this album,

be available in Sweden again? (And will the song order be corrected? The correct order is this: spotify:user:khaile:playlist:4fXoXl2HjtWhAjTtRODzUX )
