Danish singer/songwriter Oh Land releases her exclusive EP for Spotify Premium listeners today. The EP presents both rich and moving songs, inviting the listener to step to the edge of the rabbit hole and plummet.
The EP includes three tracks that represent Oh Land’s beautiful uniqueness. The first track “Wolf & I” works as both a trippy, heart-stirring ballad as well as a “modern fable about doubt and fear”. The jungle drumming and layered vocals of “White Nights” evokes a quest to find peace and a sense of home in the chaos of a city that never sleeps. The third track “Sun of a Gun” talks about the duality of Oh Land’s nature – being torn between nature and the big city.
“…she’s an absolute vision on stage… Believe me when I say you’ll want to check this artist out.” – MTV.com, October 19, 2010. Following the recent hype about Oh Land, she will perform live at various UK festivals this summer, along with releasing her album. Visit www.ohlandmusic.com for more information.
Since signing to Loog Records in early 2010 Chapel Club have had a productive twelve months. They have continued to wrestle plaudits from critics and the public alike with some truly wonderful live shows and along the way have released snippets of what’s to come in the way of limited edition tracks, recording their debut album with Paul Epworth and recently hitting the road on the NME Radar tour. It looks likely that 2011 will almost certainly see a band that will be hard to ignore.
Three-piece indie band The Joy Formidable are releasing their debut album, The Big Roar, after earning critical raves from the likes of NME, The Guardian, the London Times, Spin and Pitchfork. Starting today UK Premium listeners can hear the album before it’s wide release next Monday.

Jessie J!’.
Jessie’s heavy urban-pop debut single Do It Like A Dude is already a chart and youtube smash (with 9 million plays) with follow-up single Price Tag featuring B.O.B. released on 30th January and debut album ‘Who You Are’ coming very soon!
Australian duo Gypsy & the Cat release their exclusive EP to Spotify Premium listeners today (and to the free users on 24th January). The EP is a beautiful accompaniment to the band’s debut album Gilgamesh which is available now on Spotify and will receive a full release later this year by RCA Records.
Influenced by a mixture of musical legends ranging from Jeff Buckley and modern DJs from Justice to Daft Punk, Gypsy & the Cat are 22-year-olds Xavier Bacash & 24-year-old Lionel Towers, who only a year ago began making music in a garage in Melbourne. The EP includes two very exciting remixes for Spotify; the Alan Braxe mix of “Jona Vark” and the Aeroplane remix of “Piper’s Song”, and two brand new studio recordings, “Til Tomorrow” and “If You Could See”. Premium listeners can check out the EP now.

‘Ritual‘, the new album from White Lies, is now available to Spotify Premium listeners.
The 10-track album, produced by Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails) at the Assault & Battery studios in London, is released through Fiction Records on January 17 and features the lead single ‘Bigger Than Us’.
It is the follow up to the band’s debut album, ‘To Lose My Life’, which was released to worldwide acclaim in January 2009.
To herald the release White Lies have also compiled a Spotify playlist featuring artists such as Beck, Fleetwood Mac and R.E.M. Listen to it here.
Imagine a band who fuse three part harmonies with scalding post-punk guitars; floor-filling bass lines with syncopated rhythms and lyrics about everything from high-school massacres to R&B lotharios musing on their lot in a post-apocalyptic wilderness.
Not easy, is it? But then Everything Everything (Jonathan: guitar/vocals, Jeremy: bass, Mike: drums, Alex: guitar) aren’t here to make life easy. They’re here to challenge every knee-jerk convention of indie rock and dance on the grave of pointless retrogression.
Their debut album ‘Man Alive’ was one of the most exciting and innovative albums of 2010, winning plaudits across the board and featuring in every end of year poll worth its salt. Listen to ‘Man Alive’ on Spotify now and check out the video below.
