Music catalogue updated with 73,226 tracks

Before we end another great work week I wanted to let you know about a music update. We added 5,768 albums and singles to the catalogue today, in total 73,226 new tracks are now available.

A few higlights include:

Have a look at the Google doc for the full listing of all the releases. As with every update not all albums listed may be available in your country and some tracks previously available may no longer be playable due to regional restrictions.

Let us know what gems you find in this update.

  1. wow, oasis, finally.
but not available at this moment : waiting for next update :)

  2. Why don’t they mention all the stuff they’ve removed? Cause that kind of sucks.

  3. Where do you go to report a bad tag?
Spotify should check the IAMX tracks.

  4. @snokarna: You can’t blame Spotify for Rammstein leaving… And there is a disclaimer in the post above in case you missed it.

  5. Thanks for A Sunny Day In Glasgow – Ashes Grammar spotify:album:6KVEo7d6PJxpJqjuZVfWlh :-)

  6. Nice to see 65daysofstatic – Radio Protector on there, thanks!

  7. Spotify I LOVE U… on my mobile.

There was before spotify and now after. life will never be the same.

  8. Also some great hiphop albums:
CunninLynguists – Strange Journey Volume One
Slum Village – Greatest hits vol. 2
Time Machine – Life Is Expensive

  9. Hadda Brooks … check her out people … some great “Ace records” … well done.

  10. OK, now pulses start racing for us classical fans. Harmonia Mundi records is just beginning to show up, courtesy of IODA.

It’s only a few albums atm, but this is major! Next thing Hyperion?

    I just love Spotify.

  11. I love spotify but I think it would be great if you made some updates for it from time to time, I don’t mean getting all the songs in because I know you’re doing a great job with that
(really that should be your biggest priority) but it would be nice with some interface updates, for example I think it would’ve been awesome if I could see how many people have my playlist and if someone is listening to it. Just small things like that. Spotify is already awesome but it could be alot more awesome if small things like this are added

You’re brilliant, but I’d love The Most Serene Republic’s first album ‘Underwater Cinematographer’ up there.
    Apart from that, amazing!

  13. why a lot of good compilation are gone? like cafe del mar or hotel costes?are they going to be back in spotify?

  14. when will those update really be available here (Sweden)? now all the tracks are red (Infected Mushroom etc) and I can’t listen to any of them.

  15. I’d also reallly like some Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and Joanna Newsom up. Some Bill Callahan wouldn’t go amiss, either ;D

  16. @falafeln: Really? I’m in Sweden and all new Infected Mushroom releases works for me.

  17. “Why don’t they mention all the stuff they’ve removed? Cause that kind of sucks.”

    I totally agree…

  18. Yey, you guys have finally struck a deal with Anticon! Just in time for Bike For Three!’s release too: Does life get any better?!

  19. Great to find that this update has most things (most importantly for me including the new classical stuff) encoded in 320K Q9 too. I was beginning to worry that Spotify had forgotten about the promise of high bitrate.

  20. I do think that it would be cool to have updates of albums that disappear. I was completely caught by surprise when Aztec Camera – Somewhere In My Heart vanished ! Would be nice to have some notice. =P

  21. Spotify is the best thing to happen to music! I love it and it has given me so much more music in my life. I love it!
Keep up the good work and let us enjoy it everywhere!
And please give us the chance to listen in your cars, mobile-players and other devices. I’m thinking of buying a Iphone just for Spotify…

  22. Surprised that the new discs by The Soundtrack Of Our Lives; The Church and Tinariwen are nor yet available on Spotify

  23. Perhaps we should all contact Universal Music Group and ask them if there is anything they could do to make Rammstein return to Spotify.Just a thought.

  24. Lots of good music, but I have an old playlist that includes hotel costes, cafe del mar, etc and I can´t listen that music any more and I can not find it. Is going to come back or is just lost?? thks

  25. Regarding Infected Mushroom.

This is really strange. I can play my tracks at home, but not at work (they’re all red). I checked my IP at work to see where it’s registred and it’s registred i Karlstad (yes, it’s Sweden allrigt and I guess that’s the place our corporate proxy is located). Then I checked my IP at home and it tells me that my IP is located in Boden, and that’s where I live (yes, also Sweden but way up north).

So this crappy region restrictions apparently doesn’t work as it should.

  26. For us early music lovers there were almost 1000 tracks/50+ hours of baroque and renaissance music with the amazing Jordi Savall in this update! Some of the albums included have been near impossible to get before this!

Good job Jordi Savall and Spotify!
