Our Interview with Al Pitcher

What have you’ve been up to this summer?
I have tried to keep people laughing. I did a mini tour with Kajpartaj through the Stockholm archipelago. I can’t even swim, but I was captain of the boat for 3 minutes. I went to the Montreal and Edinburgh comedy festivals during July and August. It was loads of fun, but it’s great to be home.

You’re about to go on a tour with your “Fika” show! Could you tell us a bit about the show?
Well it’s in two halves like a juicy “apelsin”, including a “paus” for fika of course – there would be a riot if there wasn’t one. During the second half I improvise about the photos I have taken that day in the city I am in. I show them on a big screen, it’s a great thing to do because it makes every show unique to that place. I love it and I hope you do too.

Which city are you looking forward to the most?
Oh, all of them are my favourites. I love it here, though – the audience loves my stuff and it is the best in the world. I think that’s why I am never leaving, you have me forever. It’s like if you have children: you can’t have a favourite, you love them all. Each one is a bit strange in their way. Some need feeding, some just “pruut”. But everyone of the little “gubbans” and “gummans” needs laughter at some stage of their lives.

Do you have a perfect “Fika” playlist?
