Spotify music catalogue updated with 44,000 new tracks

Today’s update is very exciting and pretty big. We’ve added 3,517 albums and singles to our catalogue, in total 44,063 new tracks are now available.

This update is exciting because it’s the first one that includes content from CD Baby which a lot of people have been waiting for. We’ll continue to get content from them in the coming weeks and months so there will be a lot more independent acts being added. We also added a lot of music from BPitch Control which I know some people here in the office are quite happy about. Included aswell were a couple of neat collector’s edition albums from Radiohead with unreleased and live material.

For a full listing of today’s additions please have a look at the Google Doc. As with every update not all albums listed may be available in your country and some tracks previously available may no longer be playable due to regional restrictions.

  1. antaru – To get In Rainbows we need to do a separate deal with the band rather then then label. We haven’t been able to do that yet but hopefully we will in the future.

  2. Ive noticed you guys have had all the marilyn manson albums except “anti christ superstar” .. You guys gonna be adding it anytime?

Btw loved the radiohead collectors editions!! Big fan!! You guys rock!!

  3. yes, another great update! Danko Jones, Hellsingland underground, Radiohead, Black light burns and more! :-)

  4. Great update, just wondering, is there any news on when ‘Complete Madness’ will be available to play for UK users? It says ‘This track is currently not available’? when any track is clicked on?

  5. aaaww.. To bad none of the CD baby artists I emailed about was in this pool. Oh well…

  6. I guess new music from Nine Inch Nails has the same problem as Radiohead – needing a license from the band and not a label.

I’m not sure of the license for their newly released music, but I guess its CC-no-commercial.

  7. Ah, Windir finally! How I have waited.

Fingers crossed for (more) Bad Company now.

  8. Andreas, I just thought I’d report here a couple of mistakes with albums here.

The correct tags for this album are:
    Trailer 1
    Trailer 2
    Trailer 3
    Trailer 4
    Trailer 5

Also, you seem to have two of the same Sabaton albums up (The Art of War). Only difference is in the album title one has “The” and the other doesn’t.

  9. Just thought I would point out that this album is tagged as a Paul Motian album, when in fact it is Enrico Rava’s latest…

I’m really pleased to find it, whoever it is credited to…..

  10. I would dearly love it if you could add a ‘composer’ section to the search screeen. That way searching for all the work by Rogers and Hammerstein for example- would not just turn the albums that have their names in the title. Thanks. Ed

  11. New Isis album! yes..
Still waiting for Century Media releases.. (Dark Tranquillity)..

  12. Zomg! Thanks for adding anti christ superstar! Now you guys have all the MM Albums.. Good Job!
