Your house party is amazing. People are dancing, hanging out and the vibe is perfect. Suddenly, the music stops. Just like that. Silence. Your DJ friend, the one who “promised” to take care of the music, has been lured off to other adventures. That’s when our friends at Pacemaker will be there to save the day.

Today Pacemaker are happy to launch Autopilot, an automatic DJ feature that mixes music for you. The perfect way to stop worrying about the music. Simply tap one button and watch a gorgeous interface unfold.

These are some of Autopilot’s characteristics:

● Your own intelligent DJ. Pick your favourite tracks or playlists and Autopilot will arrange and mix them based on the unique characters of each song.

● Skip a track! Skip on! Skip again! Autopilot quickly mixes the next track without having to wait for it to load. No more awkward silence.

● Not sure what to play? Pacemaker’s suggestion engine Match Machine scans through your playlists and millions of Spotify tracks to help Autopilot™ find the perfect tunes.

Live from ADE 2014 #SoundOfADE

Kings Of Ace ADE 2013 by Johan Vivié

Sharing music. Sharing thoughts on music. Sharing love for music…and celebrating it all in one place at one time. That’s what ADE is all about.

Ever since it’s beginnings in the mid-90s, the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) has been about a love of music. It started out with a small, pioneering group of music-industry people, DJs and connoisseurs from all over the world sharing their passion for electronic dance music and it’s many subgenres. Now it’s worldwide.

In 2014, ADE hosts almost 100 stages, welcomes 300,000 visitors, 2000 DJ artists and producers, and 5000 music industry professionals. By day it’s all talking, but by night it’s all partying in the small but famously cosmopolitan place called Amsterdam. And let’s not forget: the announcement on who will be the new number 1 DJ in the world, will be held here as well.

Sadly, not all of us can jump on a bike, bus, train or plane to get there. Spotify wants to help to share a part of the ADE-experience with everyone. So – for the duration of the event – we will be bringing you a special category named LIVE FROM ADE 2014. LIVE FROM will offer a full selection of the very best in today’s electronic dance music. Discover the new or relish the legends, find your heroes or your new favourite DJ and get a taste of the endlessly shifting musical styles, straight from the event.

Artists like Afrojack, Oliver Koletzki, Nicky Romero, Detroit Swindle, Eelke Kleijn, Armin van Buuren, Claptone, Laidback Luke, Martin Garrix, Avicii, Oliver Weiter, Hardwell, Nause, Paul Oakenfold, Cazzette and many more will be picking their top 20 tracks for ADE, while record labels such as Spinnin’ Records, OWSLA, Big Beat, Ninja Tune and Dirty Bird will serve up their top new choices alongside Spotify’s best genre playlists.

Enjoy these five days of sharing and celebrating this unbridled passion for music.

If you don’t know where to start, just go to our special Spotify ADE Lounge playlist, it’s the perfect introduction to the musical experience!
