New Kent album and SingStar giveaway

Scandinavia’s biggest rock band surprised everyone when they announced they would be releasing their ninth studio album, En Plats I Solen, only eight months after their last album, Röd.

En Plats I Solen was written in early spring and recorded in Psykbunkern / Park Studio in Stockholm and was produced by Kent and Stefan Boman.

Earlier this year Kent also released their very own SingStar game for Playstation 3, becoming the first Swedish band to do so.

To celebrate the release of En Plats I Solen we are giving Spotify Premium users the chance to get their hands on a Playstation 3 console with Kent Singstar and 2 wireless microphones. Spotify Premium, Scissor Sisters exclusive EP

One Hit Wonder
A playlist that will spark many a ‘I remember that’ moment here with a mixture of true class from the likes of Deee-Lite, Semisonic and Spin Doctors and some slightly more questionable, but equally enjoyable, numbers from Rick Astley, Chumbawamba and Babylon Zoo. Not all strictly one hit wonders but a great listen none the less.

Tiffany Page’s Playlist
Next up is a selection of tunes picked by hotly tipped singer songwriter Tiffany Page. “The songs that I’ve chosen inspire me to pick up my guitar and start writing” says the 24 year old. Spotify Premium Sweden – The Prince Of Darkness Returns

Ozzy Osbourne’s career has spanned four decades and his music is as relevant today as ever. Scream, Ozzy’s first album in three years and 10th studio album overall, is fueled by the red hot single, Let Me Hear You Scream.

The album marks the first appearance of Ozzy’s new guitar player, Gus G. Ozzy’s band also features bassist Blasko, drummer Tommy Clufetos and keyboardist Adam Wakeman. The album out on June 23 in Sweden – but Spotify Premium users can listen to it starting today.

Later this summer Ozzy will embark on an 18-month world tour. First up, is this summer’s six-city OZZFest, co-headlined by Ozzy and Mötley Crüe and run from August 14th to 24th. Spotify Premium, Lissie’s debut album

American folk rock artist Lissie has been capturing everyone’s attention at the moment with her stunning husky vocals. Her debut album, Catching A Tiger, is out on June 21st but as of this week Spotify Premium users can listen to the album in full.

Recorded in Nashville late last year with Jacquire King (Kings of Leon) & additional songs with Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses), ‘Catching A Tiger’ is packed full of surprises, for a taste of what to expect check out the single, Why You Runnin’.
